Costa Teguise
Sedate and welcoming, Costa Teguise offers a relaxed pace of life with the beaches and walks to match. Just 10km up the east coast from Arrecife airport, the name Teguise dates back to the old capital city , situatel inland and named after the last Princess of the old Guanche tribe.

Sands Beach Resort is at the far end of Costa Teguise and, like the many other hotels, its low rise style blends in among the palm-lined main roads that run parallel to the coast. The promenade walkway is lit at night and wraps itself around Sands Beach Resort before heading out of town for a pleasant meander around the headlands, a stroll along which rocky shores soon give way to wide sandy beaches.
The main headland of Punta de Tope houses much of Costa Teguise's livelier bars, where you can relish the sun by day and enjoy music and dance late into the night. Moving off the coast to the long main roads of Avenida de las Islas Canarias and Avenida del Mar, there is a wide choice of bars, restaurants and commercial centres where you can hunt for authentic souvenirs and savour the cuisine of many nations, including local specialities.
If you are feeling a little energetic, take your pick from windsurfing, cycling, snorkeling, diving and much more. Costa Teguise also boasts the only 18 hole golf course in Lanzarote just at the back of the resort. They have two professional golf coaches, a fine restaurant and 3000 palm trees. Just don’t let the amazing views draw your eye off the ball!
Another exclusive for Costa Teguise is the Water Park, next to the golf course. Slides, pools and loads of water-based fun for 20 Euros for adults and discounted prices for children.

The overall feel of Costa Teguise is of a tightly-knit community, keen to show off it’s hospitality. Here you will find all the day-to-day services you may need and English is widely spoken. There is a post office, dental centre, health centre, information office and even Sunday church services for Catholics, Anglicans or inter-denominational faiths.
Many of Costa Teguise's best attractions are free and natural - the sea, the sand, the fresh air, and the views. It’s no wonder so many people return year after year to this unspoilt pocket of charm on Lanzarote.
