Lanzarote Airport

Often referred to as being in Arrecife, half way down the east coast, Lanzarote Airport is 5km outside the capital city and it's just a further 5km from there to Sands Beach Resort in Costa Teguise.

A taxi straight from Lanzarote Airport to Sands Beach Resort will cost around 18 Euros, but expect to pay a little extra if it’s a Sunday or public holiday. If someone is picking you up, the first 30 minutes of parking at Lanzarote Airport are free and you pay 1.7 cents a minute after that.

The other alternative is to use the public bus service. A number 22 bus leaves Lanzarote Airport from just opposite Terminal 2, every 30 minutes at peak times, taking you to the Arrecife bus station in 15 minutes for the price of 1 Euro. From there a number 1 or 3 bus will take you to Costa Teguise in around the same time and for the same price. The bus turns round in Costa Teguise and the final stop is just a short walk from Sands Beach Resort.
